Re: Wax Remover without Abrasive

Not sure, but all purpose cleaner might be a touch to harsh, even for a non-abrasive wax remover. it might be in the same level as dish washing detergent in terms of potency. I don't find the CG Pure...

Re: Wax Remover without Abrasive

Body solvent type products, something in the line of tar removers (mineral spirits or even kerosene), or maybe for less frequent use, dishwashing soap, clay bars will also help to remove old wax....

Re: CMX CERAMIC SPRAY COATING - New for 2019!

Just can't wait to try this out. I too, like applying carnauba wax, nice as this new coating may be, I'm not that confident that this will bond well over carnauba wax. But it did say it can be used...

Re: What's the replacement for FX Synwax?

CG Synrhetic, just as easy to use, but to my eye, has more depth than FX, and has slightly more potent polishing agents. Can also be used beneath CG Pure Carnauba wax.

CG Synthetic Wax+CG Pure...

Re: CMX CERAMIC SPRAY COATING - New for 2019!

Hopefully that spray coating will reach our shores as soon as possible. Will this have the usual just waxed feel or like other products with the grabby but extreme hydrophobic properties? And will...

Re: "Old Reflection Top Coat"

And may I add, Top Coat can be applied over any Mothers Cleaner wax CG Synthetic and Carnauba cleaner wax (now called Brazilian Carnauba Wax).

Reflections was a fine product line up, particularly...

Re: Wax applied by hand

I usually spray wax as I dry my car after a good car wash. Even if done on a weekly basis, can't say the spray wax doesn't last that long because I apply maybe a bit too often. The shine is real good...

Re: SOS pad scratches on my wheels! Help!

Looks permanent, if no scratch removers work, I would just try and conceal (fill) and pure wax it. Thinking of Step 2 Glaze and Step 3 Pure Carnauba wax. It may not be a long term solution and a bit...

Re: New Car and Cleaning schedule

Here's how I think I'd approach it, and maybe do it seasonally, and I think less time consuming:

Wash
Clay
Step1
Cleaner Wax (Go for CG Synthetic, too easy to use, great shine and protection)...

Re: VLR...my go-to interior detailing product

Both are good, admin said that before VLR was released, Reflections was used on interior surfaces where VLR is used.

The finish is similar between the 2, good clean natural look finish, smell is...

Re: Claybar With 3 Step System

Claying does make a huge difference. The difference in slickness is quite dramatic between a clayed and non-clayed surface, not only that, cleaners, glazes, waxes, become much easier to work with...

Re: VLR...my go-to interior detailing product

Yes, truly a great product! It's been my go to product for many years (maybe since 2011), before that, my got to product was the discontinued Reflections Leather Care, which I thought at that time is...

Re: Smearing after wax fades?

Spray wax and quick detailer.. some of them have the ability to fill in temporarily those (if indeed they are) scratches. Again, after a couple of washes, those imperfections might reappear.

Re: Smearing after wax fades?

In direct sunlight.. Hmm.. I'm just a bit curious and worried.. Since you mentioned "smears" as the wax wears off, it almost sounds like the fillers (the ingredient in some waxes that hide those very...

Re: QD on Carnauba

Or if you want, you can use Speed Spray Wax, I've used it and it seems to have better cleaning ability than Showtime, plus it offers protection that Showtime doesn't.

Re: CG or Speed spray wax?

And somehow, I got the new speed spray wax! Tried it on a small area. Seems to have kind of a foaming spray pattern, and seems to me, and the small area I worked on, slightly "better" shine than CG...

Re: Mothers® Announces Exciting New Speed Line at the SEMA Show 2016

Brilliant! Can't wait to get my hands on Speed Clay 2.0... That is my number 1 pick of the bunch.

The Speed interior detailer and the speed all purpose cleaner also looks interesting though..

Re: swirl marks, black paint

A DA Polisher is definitely a good investment, and while you're at it, you can try mothers rubbing compound and finishing polish with the appropriate pads to go with it. With enough time and...

Re: Mother's Question

I would say just go ahead and clay the car. It's not as time consuming or physically taxing as it may sound.

If you want the best results with the Mothers 3-step process especially on a black...

Re: Foam pad or Microfiber pad for applying wax?

same here, foam for me. I find that I use less product with foam applicators and it makes it easier to apply waxes thinner and more even.

Re: Back to Black - Opinions

I have an old 99 5 series and the black plastic trim has the usual whitish residue due to oxidation and definitely wax. Quite annoying, it was something I know was inevitable so I just tried to use...
