Unhappy Will i get problems!!!

This weekend i polished my tail and headlights with the wrong wax, i used the mag & aluminium polish. It made incredible results, the headlights have lost their yellowing and made them as smood as a polish paint. The question is, is that wax a problem for plastics? Will it brake the propertys of it? In long terms, will my headlights have more problemes than before ?

Welcome to Wax Forum!

While Mag & Aluminum Polish is not the optimal product for polishing plastic lenses, we have seen good results in some cases.

Mag & Aluminum Polish is a little aggressive for plastic, and offers little protection for plastic, so it would be recommended to follow with a product like our Plastic Polish or PowerPlastic to provide a final polish and protection.

To maintain clarity, we recommend using a plastic polish periodically -- every two to four months -- to prevent yellowing in the future.

Thank's, you've answerd my question and as soon as i can i'll get your plastic polish on my polishing product shelf. I've look your power plastic specs and i'd like to know if it can be used with a microfiber cloth or a regular fabric cloth? Is it necessary to have the power ball?

You should not be required to use a PowerBall to apply either of the plastic polishes so long as the lenses are in optimal condition. Either a microfiber or quality terry cloth should be fine.

If they are in less-than-optimal condition, the PowerBall Mini #05141 or PowerBall 4Lights #07250 makes it easier.

At this time, the PowerBall Mini #05141 is pretty easy to find in Canada; the PowerBall 4Lights #07250 would be available through most Carquest, NAPA, Drivers FX or other stores that can order it through Keystone Distributors.
