Well once again my Mom washed my MFs with the regular wash. Dirt and little pieces of grit are stuck in them. Question is, are they ok to use if I try to pick these pieces out or are they trash?

Trash IMO. Maybe for door jambs.
Word of Mouth Detailing

You could always use them for "dirty work." If they have grit in them and you use them on the paint, it`s most likely gonna mar/scratch.
I still don`t believe in grit guards.
Yea, I guess. It will be annoying trying to keep them seperate from the good ones though.
why not try to wash them again, see what happens before you throw them out. Try some OXI Clean
My mother quit doing my laundry 16 years ago.
For similar reasons. LOL!
trash em

I guess I could try washing them again WITH NOTHING ELSE the way they were intended to be washed. If that doesn`t work, I could always dedicate them to my mom`s car:rolling
If they were expensive towels I would try washing them a few more times before you retire them to lesser duty. Now if they were some Target $5 for 5 its off to dirty clean up with them . Don`t leave your MF towels layin around , you know moms clean everything they get their hands on .
WOW. whew good thing my mom asked me before she started washing my mfs.....
