Default Mothers new Back-to-Black Tire Shine

It has been raining here and my tires no longer look new.

They were dull and had a brownish look to them.

I obtained some Mothers new Back to Black tire Shine and hoped it would be able to bring them back to life.

I like deep black tires with not a lot of gloss.

Well I scrubbed the tires dried them and applied the spray Back to Black tire shine, let it set for about 5 minutes and buffed them off twice.

They could not have looked better.

They were deep deep dark black not flat black, shiney but not super high gloss black but just like tires look when they are new.

All of the brown was gone.

It is very easy to use and is the best tire care product I have ever used and I have tried most all of them.

Hope this helps anyone that likes a deep black tire when they detail.

Thanks for the review.

I guess you control the shine by how much you buff. Did you buff them to reduce any gloss or just because it is habit.

It looks like it leaves the tires darker but hard to tell.

Does it have any cleaning properties?

Yes, thank you very much for the review!

I think abnot's asking for a half-and-half photo -- perhaps next time.

Certainly buffing will remove shine. If the product dries more wet, generally the more shine you'll get.

It's not a "wet look" tire dressing -- it provides more of a natural or like-new shine.

abnot

I buffed twice from habit, I always feel the product lasts longer with extra buffing.

It left my tires quite a bit darker but they were dull when I started from the winter weather also had a brown tint tires get some time.

I took several photos but could not get good detail for some reason, it was getting dark when I took them.

I cleaned the tires before I used it so don't know if it has any cleaning properties.

Hope this helps.

I do want to add that if you desire a high-gloss shine, you would want to spray Back-to-Black Tire Shine directly on the tire and let it dry.

I did that and your right, if you want a high-gloss shine don't buff it.

If you want a low gloss buff it, pretty neat you have a choice.

Also I know its not designed for wheel wells but mine were very dull and the black frame in the wheel wells were a dull gray.

I sprayed them with the Back to Black, let it dry to a gloss and both the wheel wells and the frame parts you can see in the wheel wells turned out a deep black.

Tried to take a photo but could not get one that showed how nice they look.

I use Mothers All Wheel and Tire Cleaner to clean them.

Than I use Mothers Spray wax on the wheels.

The spray wax is easy to use looks good and makes them eaiser to clean next time.

I see that All Wheel and Tire Cleaner makes everything so easy. No scrubbing needed. I hope we can have this product in our country.

Spraywax, yeah, it would be like what it does on the car body paint...waxed area always easier to clean the next time.

20524 FX Wheel & Tire Cleaner with Foaming Action is the same as 05924 Mothers Foaming Wheel & Tire Cleaner. They just appeal to different markets.
