Default How to go about detailing OEM alloy rims?

From reading other posts I've gathered the way to detail out my OEM alloy rims on my 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited is to start with the professional compound, glaze and wax?
Question is would this be the proper technique to detail them?

I'd suggest using a spray wax to maintenance them after cleaning, polishing and waxing.

Not sure why you need to compound, but if it needs it, that's fine.

Whatever it takes... try the least-aggressive method first.

Instead of buying our Professional Compound, which you'd have to mail order, our California Gold Scratch Remover (available at Advance or O'Reilly) is an excellent choice for removing scratches and tough stains, and you should be able to go to a wax afterwards.
