    starting out with PC

Hi all, I`ve been lurking around here for a while a finally dicided to ask a question. I have a 7 month old black car (Kia Sorento) with plenty of swirl marks direct from the dealer. I`ve pick up a PC 7336, some LC yellow, white and black pads. I have 1Z MP and PP, VM, scratchX and 3M-SMR. My questions are:
1- what would be my best starting point (which product and pad) ?
2- what speed should I start out with?
3- Would these products work or should I get some PB`s SSr`s

I have to admit that I`m a bit concered about putting the PC to my paint.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Use a white pad with PP and a speed of 5. This should take care of the swirls. Next follow with a white pad and MP at a speed of 4. This will clean the paint and give you a great shine. You will need a sealant.

I would recommend getting 1Z Glanz Wax as your sealant. Lastly, don`t worry about using the PC. You will not harm the paint. Good luck.

andriver, thanks for the reply. I do have 1Z GW along with P21S, Natty Wax, NXT and EX. I also have the Klasse twins. Is 1Z Gw my best bet after using the PC?

Personally, I like GW with MP but you could also go with EX.

I agree with andriver`s recommendations about the 1ZPP followed by 1ZMP. Glanz Wax will magnify any paint imperfections, so only use it if you are perfectly happy with your swirl removal efforts. For a more forgiving finish, I`d be inclined try a Vanilla Moose/EX combo instead.

Don`t worry about using the PC. You won`t hurt anything with the PC...unless you drop it on the hood
I`d use the PP at about 4.5 speed and then top with EX.
Dream big and be willing to do the work to get there.

Thanks all for the replies. I hoping the weather clears up a bit here in NY so I get started. Is PP about the same as SSR2 or should I get some just in case. (Boy, the car payments are less than I`m spending on detailing supplies LOL)

Not sure about the second job but I may be looking for a new wife if she ever finds out just how much detaling stuff I`ve ordered in the last six months!. She`s really doesn`t understand why I hug my steering wheel LOL

Dr Groove, I just love it! It`s got about 7500 miles on it now and is my daily driver. So far I haven`t had a single issues with it. You just can`t be the waranty either, 5 yrs, 60,000 miles bumper to bumper and 10 year, 100,000 mile power train. (and a ten speaker audio system with separate power amp )
