I use a polishing pad(white) with #7 but I don`t see why you can`t use a finishing pad.
I like to use a finishing pad on any product that`s simply for "show", like #7. Still, the polishing pad would probably work equally well.
I used a meg`s finsihing pad on the swirl remover, glaze and wax for this job.

I use a finishing pad as you do not want any cut with #7
Thankyou. I think I will go with a polishing for #9 and a finishing for #7.
