    Cool Weekend of product testing

Had a few products on the black test bench this weekend, with still one to come.

    Products tested:

    SSR2.5
    EX-P
    QuikShine
    Vanilla Moose
    Exceldetail edgeless MF`s

My basic process was QEW, clay, SSR2.5, Menzerna FP, VM and EX-P.

Now my car is a company car, so I can always dictate who does and who doesnt drive it, so when I went to drive home last week, I spotted a hideous marring on my bonnet. Not a happy camper, but not much I can do about it. This is what I had.

Perfect problem for the SSR2.5 to tackle - unfortunately! This is after one pass ( polishing pad )

2 passes and once again a happy camper!!

SSR2.5: I really like the "tempered" aggressivness of the SSR2.5, its a really good product that stayed wet long enough for it to be worked into the paint adequately, and removal was a breeze. Once my Menzerna IP and FP is finished, I will be investigating the rest of the SSR range after this experience.

VM: I am not really all that fussed with this product, but I will continue to play around with it and see what I see. I didnt feel that it was any better than say a GEPC or #7, but certainly wasnt as painful to use as #7. Undecided at this stage.

EX-P: Where have you been all my life! How easy is this stuff to use!?! I found it to be a really clear reflective and wet looking product on my black, but not necessarily super wet. I guess I was expecting the VM to have a bigger impact.

QuikShine: An expensive QD but worth its weight in gold. The shine it produced over the EX-P was incredible. If you need a new QD, give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

Exceldetail edgeless MF`s: if you dont already have some, do yourself a favour and buy some. They are fantastically soft and soooooo nice. Excel Detail

Here are a few beauty shots. Came out pretty sweet...

Some small marring. I could have gone more aggressive in pad selection, but I wanted to see how it would perform with a polishing pads.
    And cheers for the comments!

Mate I have got most of Patricks MF`s

the blue and gold premiums, his grey general duty ones, gold edgeless, gold WW`s, chenille mitts, MF mitts. I cant fault any of them - well priced, great service and super quality.

Here is a great example of how someone works a product....one pass or two minutes on a panel doesn`t always give you the desired results, so another pass and working the product THEN gives the results the person was looking for. Too often people buy a machine(pc) and a product and expect a miracle to happen...it`s all work!!! ...it may make it easier to achieve results versus using your hands or a cheap machine, but it`s work !!!
Nice job 6cyl`s_of_fury and great pictures with explanations

    An "Australian" PC.

Ie a Hitachi RO sander - the cost of a PC to Australia is VERY high ( machine, step transformer and plug convertor )

    Its a +US$400 proposition. I like my Hitachi ( US$70 )

And thanks for your kind words and super products Steve!

Not to take this thread off course, but in response to the above comment, here is some pink and yellow to go with the red.
