    Interesting question posted on Autopia

Is S&W in fact dilutable? Is dilutable a word? Anyway, if you dilute it will it still work the same?

I would not go 50/50 unless you were using it for a clay lube....many people have gone 70/30 and use it more as a QD, and I have seen many people mix it with other products(not water) to create their own QD product. Yes can be diluted, but it changes its usage and effectiveness.

Thanks Steve. Thats what I thought. Figured it would change the lubricating/lifting properties.

I mix mine 70/30 with meguiars #34 with great results. I should add that when most people would QD, I S&W. I only use QD`s on perfectly clean paint. I use S&W for light dust or after a short drive.

My paint will mar if I look at it wrong.

I mix S&W 3:1 with Meguiar`s Final Detail for my custom quick detail spray. This ratio seems to keep most of S&W`s cleaning properties intact while adding the gloss enhancing qualities of FD.

3 parts S&W and 1 part FD or the other way around?

    sounds like a great idea
