    polish/wax

I recently read an extensive test on which auto waxes performed the best. I concluded that P21S is the wax I would like to try. However, I also read that Xymol was producing a more supple conditioner/polish than anyone, and would make the paint more smooth and hydrated. Can I use one, then the other, or should I stick with a single mfr?

First, welcome to DC! Secondly, yes. No problem using the Zymol conditioner polish with P21s carnauba.

BTW....great choice on the P21s carnauba!

    Mix & Match

    Hi Aaron: Welcome to DC.
Using products from different manufacturers is not necessarily bad.
There may be some advantages to staying within one product line, but I`m not aware of them.
Right now, I use products from Meguiar`s, Klasse, and Platinum on two vehicles. Another has Meguiar`s, Klasse, and S100 on it. They all seem to be doing well.

Just my personal opinion, but when you get your product choices narrowed down a little, it sure makes things easier. Actually, I could get by quite well with about three products. I must have about 23, though. And that`s before we get into washing, cleaning, and quick detailers.

No problem at all about mixing product lines ( only exception would probably be Zaino). I too use many brand names to accomplish my detailing goals. 3M, Poorboy`s, Mother`s, Meguiar`s professional line,Clearkote, P21S products, and Pinnacle Souveran to name a few.

By the way P21S makes a wonderful paint cleanser/polish/glaze that works very well with their wax. P21S GEPC ( Gloss Enhancing Paint Cleanser).

From a new member ( but not a detailing newbie) to another, Welcome to DC!

blkZ28Conv beat me to it (new guys !!),

P21S GEPC , is a great product and imo s100/ps21 is one of the best carnaubas (try playing with it as a topper for UPP or EX, they will amaze you ).

Thanks for such fast resoponses Natty, CW, z28, and ash. I guess that`s what I`ll try. Just have to talk my wife into letting me purchase the stuff. She`ll wonder why the Meguiars products in the garage (which are great products) won`t do. Part of the testing I talked about said that the P21S worked wonders for the color silver; any truth? Also, I don`t believe there are ANY tire dressings that won`t spray up, but I`ll take some advice on that too. Tried (and like) Endurance.

    Question Spray Up?

If you are talking about "slinging" dressing from tires to the body panels, your solution is simple. Simply buff off any excess dressing after letting it penetrate for a while (15-30 minutes). Problem solved.
