    This Is Interesting?

I saw a add in the local paper for a moblie detailer. I called the guy and told him about me to see if we might be able to work together. Anyway we talked about car care and he tells me that he studies detailing all the time, I`m impressed. Then he asks me what I do on the outside of the car. I do about 4 to 6 steps on the cars depending on what needs to be dome. Using a rotary and PC where needed. He says your spending to much time on the cars and that he has a product that (cleans, polishes, seals and waxes) all in one step. Goes on to say that it does not hide the swirls but removes them with this product.
Now I`m not sure what this guy is using but sounds like an AIO type of product. He then starts in on the local shops and how they are hacker, lots of truth to that.
Anyway anyone have a take on what product this guy is suing.
Lastly after talkingf to this guy I know why my customers come ot me:google

He is full of crap. There is not such product that removes swirls, cleans oxidation and seals/waxes the car. Its just not possible. Imagine a product like DACP mixed with AIO and add a little UPP in the mix and then throw in a chunk of S100 for good measure. Do you really think it would work? I sure don`t.

There is a bonehead that I know who claims that NuFinish will do all of that for him. By his own words, he claims that it cleans his paint, removes swirls, protects for months, removes rust, degreases his engine, polishes his glass and also removes stains on his carpet. The boy is a little challenged. Of course, this is a guy who actually tinted the inside of his headlights so they would match the rest of his car. :rolleyes It sounds like the guy you are talking about has about as much sense as the NuFinish bonehead I`m talking about. I hear about a new miracle "all in one" product at least once or twice a year. They are all a bunch of crap. NXT is the closest thing that I would call an "all in one" kind of thing. Even then, its not appropriate for all conditions. Detailers who take shortcuts like that give the rest of us a bad name. I`d love to talk to that hack and give him a piece of my mind.

Dave... I think your business is safe from him. Customers will see his shortcuts and give their business to you. Two bit hacks like that don`t last very long.

I know. Shocking, eh? When he was telling me all the many functions of this wonderful miracle product he had, I could have sworn he was about to bust out a bottle of Zaino. Imagine my surprise when it broke out the NuFinish. :doh
