    Wash Liquid

I am firmly convinced that there is little, if any, real difference between the different brands of car wash liquids available in the market today. There is usually some kind of sale on some kind or other brand whenever you go into Walmart, Target, or whatever and buying the cheapest thing going is a cost effective way of doing our `thing`.

Can anyone offer up any evidence that `Brand A` does a better job than `Ed`s Super Supreme Cleanser`?

I agree. I picked up some Turtle Wax Supreme Car Wash at BJ`s for like $6 a gallon after a rebate. I think the process including tools is what makes the difference. Good towels, clean water, rinsing of towel, shade, etc will have the biggest impact.

    Car washes

Well, after playing with the 1Z Perls Shampoo/car wash I tend to disagree that it`s like any type of wash. Interesting stuff!

I know there are others that do similar, but this one just seems to work as it`s claimed. Very slippery wash, not much suds after short time, but as your rinse, it starts beading. Very nice for that wash before a show or QD work.

But then again, if I`m going to wash/clay/polish, then yes, I use a bit more harsh detergents to do the job, then follow with clay/polish/wax or sealant. Whatever is cheap works. Some lube better, some have more suds, etc.

Those of you who just did a wax or sealant and need a nice wash, give the 1Z Perls a try!

Head on over to Wal-Mart and pick up a jug of Blue Coral Car Wash, and another of Meguiars Deep Crystal Wash.

Mix them up side by side in separate buckets and wash two cars, one with each brand of wash.

I think the difference will easily reveal itself very quick.

    It did for me.

I`m always on the lookout for new products, but as far as washes are concerned, I stick with Meguiars Deep Crystal and Gold Class.

Duragloss "Durashine Wash" is also pretty decent.

The Blue Coral stuff just seems to take about 3 times the amount of product to produce equal suds, and they don`t last that long either.

My wash mit also seems to glide across the car 10 times as easy using the Meg`s.

I notice a difference, give the comparison a try and see what you think.

Yes there is a difference. I MUST use a soap with super high levels of lubricants in it to keep away light wash swirls. My paint micromars so easily.
