Best Polish / Wax or Combination?

    What`s the best?

    I`ve heard Zaino`s Z5 then Z2...
I`ve heard Klasse All-in-One Polish then Eagle-One Wet Wax...
    I`ve heard Collinite...

I`ve Tried Liquid Glass and liked it a lot...

What`s the best way to go...I`d like to hear from people show show cars if possible

Neither Z5 or AIO are polishes. Z5 is a sealant with very mild swirl filling properties. Klasse AIO is a cleaner and sealant.

There are plenty of great combinations you can try that may or may not contain polishes.

Poorboy`s Polish with Carnauba topped by Poorboy`s EX
Clearkote Vanilla Moose (hand glaze) topped by Carnauba Moose Wax
Klasse AIO topped by Klasse Sealant Glaze

These have all produced great results for me on a variety of colors.

The key to the ultimate finish is not the wax or sealant. It is the prep BEFORE applying the stuff. Any top-shelf sealant used over a perfect swirl-free finish is going to kill. If you read through the threads, you`ll get a sense of everyone`s individual favorites. I will say - if you intend to achieve showcar results, you should invest in the PC polishing machine and learn to polish the paint to perfection. Once you can do that, almost any wax/sealant will look superb.

My favorite choice of combo will be s100 SEPC topped with s100 wax. but Prep, prep, and prep is the most important thing.

I use Poorboys Pro Polish topped with his EX and I`ll be switching to EX-P upon the next detail and that will happen when we have some decent weather, on a weekend and when I`m free to commit the time. I`ll be taking a LOT of time to do the polishing, probably go over it 2 or 3 times because I believe that is the part of the process where all the little things get worked out and the finish is brought to it`s highest potential. It takes a PC or a rotary to do this.
Dream big and be willing to do the work to get there.

Poorboy`s SSR3, Meg`s DACP, Adam`s Revive, Mullet Wax Awesome Polish, Meg`s Show Car Glaze, Poorboy`s EX, Adam`s Butter Wax, topped with P21S.....sounds like a decent detailing regimen to me

I have used Liquid Glass Polish with success for many years but is it safe to use on the 2005 C-6 Corvette? As the DVD Corvettes owners manual says do not use anything containing petroleum distillates which I believe Liquid Glass does contain if one can`t use Liquid Glass Polish on a 2005 Corvette what is the next best product to use that has ease of application and will give the longest lasting protection & shine?

Umm I think that would rule out MOST waxes/sealants out there if you cant use petro. Dist. You would be surprised at what a broad spectrum that really is.

I recently used Klasse AIO and SG on my metallic silver Accord and I have to say that nothing I have used so far can compare to the look of this combo. Easier to use than people have said.

Great topic and I agree with most. It comes down to personal preference and experience with products. Most of all, the PC is important. I did my brother s
97 Red Silverado which was badly damaged like this:
    1) Hi Temp Medium Cut
    2) Hi Temp Light Cut
    3) Diamond PLus Paint Sealant
    4) TOP OF THE LINE Carnauba
It`s been a month and it still looks wet. Again, most products (top shelf) will do the work IF YOU DO YOUR PART.

In the spring I will. I have to say I was very reluctant (sp) to use Klasse since most people say it is a PITA but I found it to be easy. I did half the car WOWO and the other half letting it dry for 45min and they both came off easy. That was with SG.

I used a blue edge pad with AIO and it worked great. I worked it in and removed with a MF.

2 great products and I feel it will be my new comboi. I will take the plunge to Soveran as a topper in the spring

    GM Marketing Scheme??

Maybe it`s some sort of "protect your own @$$" thing that GM is putting out with their new cars(for an environmental issue). That or maybe a marketing scheme.....we will soon see a GM produced Corvette Car Care Line. Haha. :lol
I still don`t believe in grit guards.
