2000 grit compound to polish glass ?

I read somewhere on here or on some other forums that any fine grit compound/polish without any oils or filler, would be good to polish glass, what do you think ? Does glass polishing require any special pad ? Does it have to be done with a rotaty or would a DA do the job also ? I have both at worst.

    thank you

I have also thought about useing regular compounds but people said to use glass polish with a special pad it doenst really matter rotary or da.

I believe CMA has a glass polishing kit.

I have no experience with no 82 sorry. I have never seen buffer marks in the glass though.

I have used SSR1 several times over the last month and it works great. I apply it by hand using a terry applicator and remove with a MF. I like to use a bit more than when polishing the finish and remove it before it dries too much to avoid the white residue. It leaves the glass, well, as smooth as glass.
