Default Opened up a can of worms!

My interior in my truck has always been kept up. BUT...... I have 3 dogs and I'm a smoker to boot! I just bought 2 bottles of Mothers carpet and upholstery cleaner. After vacuuming I used a damp micro cloth and sprayed the passenger seat and one side of the back seat where I had stains the worse from dog slobber and coffee spills. I applied the cleaner and wiped two times and I'm very happy with the results!!! I'm going to let it dry and vacuum again.

Next question about the interior roof! There are smoke, nicitine stains and other stuff up there that makes you wonder how'd that get up there??? It's really not that bad, but to the detailer's eyes it's unacceptable! I rinsed out the micro cloth and sprayed some cleaner on it and wiped a small area, rinsed the cloth again and wiped again, it looks great! I'm just scared from the old days of messing with the top upholstery cause it would always end up sagging down after time! Using that technique I just described would that be alright to continue on with the rest of the top upholstery???

I'm excited to get all that clean but in no rush to get it done. Better safe then sorry!!! I'm open to all suggestions from you expert interior folks! The truck is a 2009 Dodge Ram.

It sounds like you did everything right.

As headliners age, the foam backing will tend to deteriorate, allowing it to separate... being gentle is the best approach.
