    heavy cut pad and med abrasive product or med cut pad and heavy abrasive product

    Which do you guys recommend to use? A heavy cut pad with medium abrasive product or a medium cut pad with heavy abrasive product?

    If you are referring to the PC, I use a cutting pad (foam) with a medium abrasive first. If that doesn`t cut it, then I step up to the heavier abrasive. I have had some micro scratching from the more abrasive products used with the PC ... I think it is because they do not break down like they would using the rotary. I have used SSR 2 with Meg`s cutting pad with great results removing minor scratches and still leaving a decent finish.
