    can you swirl a sealant?

can you introduce micro-marring (swirls) into the sealant itself not the clear but that magical polymer layer(s) that are there - and along those lines if it is topped with carnuba - can you swirl that??
You have activated my special ability....

I believe you can.............. as I`ve seen it! In both sealants, and carnauba`s. Usually a good sealant won`t micro-mar initially, but will start to with repeated washings/QD`ings without additional coats of sealant........... same goes for carnauba.

Yep, and "not-so-good" towels can cause it anytime!

IMO, this is why we as enthusiasts should really consider the products that we use when removing swirls(on our own cars).

I am as guilty as any, typically I reach directly for #80 speed glaze to remove swirls induced from washing/drying. Actually the swirls are probably in the top coat of sealant and would just as easily be taken care of with a nonabrasive paint cleaner. This would surely save us some clear in the long haul.

Now if I can just stop using speed glaze......
