    Meguiars #40 causing stains?

I was wiping down the interior of my blazer this weekend with Meguiars #40 Rubber and Viynal protectant. After I wiped it down a few minutes later I noticed it created a few stains on my dash. Anyone know why this might be happening? Also, my dash is hard plastic, not rubber or vynal, but I dont think that should matter, or should it?

I`ll take a stab at this. If I remember right, #40 is the cleaner AND protectant, whereas #39 is the heavy duty cleaner. My guess is that the cleaner didn`t get all of it, thus, you now have protectant on top of dirt. I would suggest using a degreaser to wipe down the dash, then apply #40 and go from there. Also, maybe take a MF towel and rub the dash. It will probably dull the finish a little, but maybe get rid of the spots :dunno
