Coral Red Porsche Turbo2 (Try it again)

Well since the last thread I started on this is now cyber dust and since I almost finished the detail yesterday I figured now would be a good time to RE-post it.

The color of this Porsche is "Coral Red" and is one of the most stunning colors I have ever seen on a Porsche, or any car for that matter. It was featured some years ago in an article for an exotic car magazine and it was recently purchased by one of my clients. I really love this body style, even over the newer Porsches, as it had a certain something about its looks that newer Porsches just don`t have.

The swirls, or scratches, are moderate, nothing too serious. This first picture shows what I am talking about.

Sad to say I found evidence on the car that it was re-painted in some areas, mainly the passenger side rear panel and door but it was a pretty good job they did.

After washing the car and claying it I used Menzerna Powergloss and my rotary with a polishing pad. This combo was perfect for removing the light scratches and produced a great even gloss.

Here is the same area after the PG treatment

    Great Job Anthony!!!
I bet the owner didn`t know that car was repainted. I have missed a good repaint in the past ... until I do a complete detail of course. I love the color!

This feels like deja vu Anthony but anyway "Great Job". Great color for a Porche.

The PG was almost all I needed but I figured I would go over the paint one more time with my polisher and 3M`s Perfect-It III.

Here now are some pictures of the Porsche "almost" completed. I got called away yesterday by a phone call that my wife had to be picked up at our mechanics because the brakes were acting up on our other car.

So I will finish the interior on Monday and finish up a few exterior details also, like tires being dressed and some odds and ends.

    Side of Porsche.

I finished the car out with AIO and P21S. Vanilla Moose on the lower panels and windows.

A look in the shade. The color is very od in that in the shade at certain angles it looks like Porsche Guards Red but then take a few steps and you can see all the copper color, odd.

As always - superb work Anthony. And you`re right about that color. It is both unique and beautiful.

what you guys liked that - there are no flames?? where are the fuzzy dice and 20 inch rims

Awesome job man! - guy at work has a new 911 carerra 4s coupe - it`s a similar color to mine (a metallic grey) - He always parks next to me, says he knows I won`t ding him - and really digs the shine on mine - I told him I would detail it for free if he wanted - just leave it over the weekend since it takes soooooo long - heheh.
You have activated my special ability....
