    New Order

    Hello all,

I am fairly new to the boards, and just wanted to introduce myself, Im Chris, and I just brought a 2002 Subaru WRX in the WRB Blue. I plae an order for the following items

    *Klasse All-In-One
    *Platinum Ultimate Paint Pre-Cleaner
*Poorboy`s EX Sealant With PW-EX Carnuba

The car is on the darker side, that is why I orxered the EX ( have read it is better for darker colors)

Please explain, the steps that I need to take in order to use each of these products, I also have clay bar, so that would be in the mix as well. Thanks fpr any feedback .

To put it briefly, explain what you masters would do for best results and in what order, btw, all will be done by hand for now.

    Chris

If the finish is already smooth...no clay...remember clay used on a very smooth surface can cause micro-scratching...more obvious on dark colors....if not smooth ...wash , clay, Platinum Paint cleaner, Klasse AIO, EX...(3 coats for best look)

Hope that helps...they`ll be more advice soon

Thanks for the suggestions, the car only has 8K miles on it, and the paint is brand new, might skip the clay for the first detail (the paint is nice and smooth). One more quick question, what is best for getting wax off of bumpers, door handles etc...

With that question you are openning a Pandora`s Box....

If it`s old...it`s stained and most if not all methods that will be advised will be temporary fixes..some last longer than others and some you can even eat after use...roflmao..ok you wouldn`t but you could

    If you`re planning ahead....two ways

    1) tape trim so you don`t have to remove wax

    2) have a soft tooth brush handy and some APC or wax remover handy and do it while it`s fresh...

If it`s too late...same as #2 and then use a vinyl and rubber dressing...

one thing, the AIO and UPC are very similar products as they prepare the surface for a sealant and provide some cleaning. The AIO in my opinion has more cleaning power than the UPC. You might only need to use one of these before going to the EX, depending on the surface you are working on.
