all black vs raised white lettering on tires

Just wanted to get some opinions on what do people think looks best on a truck or suv? In my opinion I think it depends on the color of the vehicle. My Z71 is black and I have tires that have the raised white lettering.

I like them both, and agree that sometimes black walls look better than RWL. It seems to depend on the color of the vehicle, the type of wheels, and the size of the tires.

On trucks the RWL look good IMO, but on cars, to me that is a no no.

Yeah, what is it about rwl on cars? I mean I agree that it doesn`t look good, but I`ve always wondered why it looks ok on a truck, but not on a car? Is it just a man, I`m king of the road type of thing?

Also, I`ve never seen a tire maker, unless it was a specialty tire, have rwl for cars. I mean the tires for my bonneville don`t even come in rwl even if I wanted them. Maybe I`m wrong?

Wished I would have known, I would have given you mine. I just answered one of these posts over at F150online.com and told them that they were the worst tire I had ever owned. I couldn`t get them off of my truck fast enough.

Dunlop GT Qualifiers come in sizes for cars...I also think it`s the type of car that would make a difference...when I had a `````en camaro like the Fuzz, I had Dunlop Qualifiers and then went to the Firestone SS radial RWL ..they also looked good on that car ....:dunno

Well, bing a Z71 owner myself and having the raised white lettering on my Bridgestones - I have to say I also like them on a truck.

I have an indigo blue Z71 with white raised letters (BFG). I like them but they are a pain in the butt to keep clean. I found simple green and a brush to work best. I need to buy stock in simple green

Yeah, I see too many people with the rwl who just leave it dirty. Doesn`t look the greatest in my opinion. By the way, I use meguiar`s extra for cleaning them, however, I`ve been told that this might be going out of stock? Anyway, I too will switch to simple green when this happens.

I like RWL...on the Toyota truck I owned a few cars ago, I would even turn the driver`s side mirror so I could peek at the LR tire spinning while I drove... it made me feel like I was in a Winston Cup car :shift
