    leather color whats goin on?

yesterday i was detailing a lexus with black leather seats

while applying lexol conditioner in the brown bottle with a white applicator i noticed when i rubbed over certain spots on the seats where your lower thighs would be on the seat, the black color started to come off on the applicator pad, and where the color comes off the leather surface feels rough not smooth like the surrounding areas

anyway to fix this, or use a different product?

I think the protective coating just got worn off there from jeans rubbing etc. And the color is being to kind of come out I wouldent worry about it unless you start to notice a difference in those spots compared to the rest of the leather.

The clear coat that they put on leather today has wornen off. All leather today or most in cars is top coated with the dye to match other parts of the car. To protect it a clear coat is put on and after some time especally the high traffic areas, drivers side seat, the clear coat wears off.
What you did was the right thing, just treat it and leave the Lexol soak in. If you know of a good leater guy, I have one. They can re-apply the clear coat, but in most cases its not worth the hassle.
