Default Pro Rubbing/Finishing and Lake Country MF pads...

I just want to verify what was mentioned in another thread regarding which Pro stuff to use on which new LC microfiber pads:

White pad = Rubbing Compound
Gray pad = Foam Pad Polish/Finishing Polish

thanks! I finally got around to ordering pads, and my wife's minivan will be the guinea pig I took Forrest's recommendation and ordered the yellow cutting pad for rubbing compound, white for finishing polish, and I ordered the red for waxing. This was Lake Country CCS foam pad, not microfiber (my order).

One question, Trac_511: you had mentioned you used Top Coat after Reflections Advanced Wax and was very happy with it, so I ordered some. Can I use Top Coat right after using Reflections with the same red pad without washing it, since they are both waxing products, or should I order 2 red pads so I have a clean one to apply Top Coat?

It would be better to clean the pad.

Reflections Car Wax does have some polishes, while Top Coat does not; so adding Top Coat to the same pad would degrade the layering effect.

Hi fju'. As admin mentioned, Reflections Car Wax has polishing ability so you're going to want to use a clean dedicated pad to layer the Top Coat. Otherwise you could be affecting the Car Wax you just laid down, with a cross-contaminated pad as you apply Top Coat.
