Question Am I the Only One With Problems of Streaking With CK QS?

I have a black Hyundai Santa Fe. Five weeks ago I put the third and final coat of Poorboy`s EX on the vehicle. From that datum point there have been rain days and always I have used S&W to clean up the car - followed up with a variety of QD`s.

Of the lot - Showtime, EO, Platinum, 3M Gloss Enhancer and QS - the 3M product has given me the best results - the car is almost TOO shiny. That said, I still have most of a gallon on ClearKote`s Quik Shine (at $38.00 plus $8.00 shipping), and I feel compelled to use it. And it streaks.

With the other QD`s applied in my incandescent lit garage, pulling them outside in the sun shows no problems. With QS, I`ll have to "touch up" the streaks with a firmly applied MF.

Am I the only one with this problem? Is it me or the paint?

    Ray,

Not sure what to tell you................. maybe something in the towels? I sure hope you find the answer, as QS was one of the few remaining products I was hoping to aquire?

It streaks as much as Final Inspection or any other. In fact, less than FI.
I use it, I like it. Don`t make your decision based on one opinion.

    jgv,

Wouldn`t do that! I`ve tried a bunch of QD`s, and have had very few streak, including FI. One shouldn`t have to "firmly" remove streaks with any QD, as Ray described.

Like I said, one opinion. I use QS and care less for streaks than w/ FI. Never heard anyone complaining about it before.

I purchased QS and thought it was pretty good, but not worth twice the price of FI.

FI is pretty good stuff for the $$$.

I never get streaks with FI, I have with mother`s, but only when using it on dark colored cars and trying to do too large of an area. With the 3M, I get streaks everytime. How large of an area are you doing? Also is the surface ever warm(like the hood from driving).
