    Vinyl Graphics - How to Approach?

    I have a possible gig with a PT Cruiser with Vinyl Flames on both sides of the car.....Any suggestions as to how to approach this car since it will need a full detail ....Clay/Polish/sealent/carbuba?

    Get a sealant that doesn`t stain trim. I would not use a PC orbital polisher with this car (or at least the vinyled parts). Finally, P21S/S100 wax should do just fine even on the trim.

    PwC by hand lightly worked in, does a great on those PT Cruisers vinyl decal.

    I did this PT with the "woody" decal a while back that had bad water spots and PwC worked great.

    that was one of my favorite before and afters....I mentioned that to a few PT owners...do you see the car at all...I`d like some feedback for vinyl use for the future...defintely a future FAQ

    If the paint is in good shape you may get away with something like Pinnacle Paint Cleansing Lotion, Menzerna Final Polish or AIO and P21S or Trade Secret to top it off with.

    The key here is not being sloppy in the application process. When waxing, wax just below or under where the edge of the trim is instead of waxing right up to the edge of the decal. If you do this then you won`t have to worry about wax and polish building up along the edges.

    Also you should hardly be able to see any wax on your pad just before you apply it to the paint.

    Buff away from the edges.

    Thank you all foe the Xcellent suggestions. I think I will use the AIO/S100 combo...
    blkyukon - fantastic pics of your work....Looks like real wood inlays after you got through......Owner must have smiled from ear to ear!
