The Things You Find In A Car

I did a few cars over the weekend and the tings that people have in their cars.
Lotto tickets from 3 years ago, candy wrappers under the seat, coins all over the place. I swear, there must be 10 bucks in my shop vac. Biz cards are every where, with receipts from everything from the grocery store, hotel bills parking lots, doctors offices, etc.
In some cars I fill up a large grocery bag with stuff

What have you found in cars that strike you as odd

I used to have a client with "his and hers" Bentleys -- Ya know the ones that "depreciate $30 thousand dollars (each) when we drove them off the lot" as she used to say. Well, he liked to roll his own "big funny cigs" and musta smoked them like regular ones. From what one of my fellow employees said, it was "the chronic." I used to collect all the butts (they would be everywhere), then clean out the ash try and neatly place them all back in it. They always tipped quite well -- I guess it was because to this day, I still maintain their personal anonymity.

Best find for me however was when cleaning out my Shop-Vac after a busy two days of detailing about 10 years ago.... a loose 3/4 carat diamond. I asked all those who had their cars done if they had ever lost a stone in any of their rings/earrings etc. (all 14 of them) and no one stepped up -- chaaaaching!!!.

From then on, I always check the contents of the vacuum prior to and as I empty it.
A happy customer tells a friend ... An unhappy one tells many friends !!!

Gim-me a car with finns... :naughty and I`ll shows ya what detailin`s all about... :jump

Whenever I vacuum out my Grandparents cars I`ll usually find an orange somewhere. They really like oranges and they roll out of the bags all the time.

My brother works for a Ford dealership and has told some classic stories of what they found in cars!

Customer complained that the cartrige for the 6 disk changer was stuck and wouldn`t come out! It was stored in the center console. He opened the console only to find ants and such crawling all over the place...turned out the kids had droped all kinds of candy inside! (not warranty work) and the customer wanted to know why it wasn`t!

While working on another car... not sure what the problem was but found a tool for which women pleasure them selfs! My brother said they called the customer and asked that she remove all of her "Personal" belongings before they would work on the car!

He says they find peoples drug hiding spots all the time usually filld w/ a substansial stash!

Customers whos kids put change in ths CD player slot!

    some classic storys!

Friend usto work at a dealer detail shop and they would do employees cars if they were not busy. When working on the receptionists car he noticed foot prints on the back windshield of her car....said she never lived that one down.
