    Carpet Extractors

I have a big (and old) 3 motor Extractor that has pretty much seen its day and want to buy a new one.

I was wondering if you guys would give your opinions on the small extractors that detailers use, pros and cons??

I`m looking for durability and obviously one that works really good!

    Thx

The DURRMAID my friend. Small, portable, 102" of lift, heated, and no solutions to mix (just spray the carpets first).

Its $600 and as soon as I get the money, im buying one.

I`m in the same situation. My big Ninja extractor has finally died. I`m also looking at the smaller extractors but I want something with good heat and water lift. I`m looking at the smaller Mytee units and of course the Durrmaid.

Nopt sure if it fits the bill ...

I have a Mytee HP 60, heated, 140 inches of lift .... has gotten everything out I asked, but not sure it fits the blll for small. Has six gallon tanks for solution and recovery. I got the s bend wand and use it in the house too .... a great wife pleaser!

Funny Example: This weekend, had a party, had the coolers stocked with ice inside, didn`t notice I had forgotten to cap one of the drains, about 20 minutes before people were supposed to arrive, I have this huge wet spot in the carpet. Wife says, I`ll get the towels! I said, no, lemmie get the extractor, brought it in sucked up the water ... instant husband hero!

Again, I am not sure this is "small" but it only cost me $1000 so can`t beat that.

That Durmaid looks like what I have been looking for not over the top on price and has all the features of the big boys

    MattS,
Where did you get the mytee for $1,000?
I would stay away from the Durrmaid..., LOTS of problems with the heaters going out and reliability problems associated with them..., at least the model in question.
Yes, I am also in the market for a new one. I only have 4 and need another, this time a commercial cleaner for both car and home.
I would recomend 200psi and at least 150" lift for cleaning faster and more effeciently(unless you are nt concerned about time, for me, time is money.)

    Got it at .....

Got it at SparkleAuto.com ... it gets better ...

    Price: $1040
Bonus: FOr spending over $1000, get a Mkaita buffer
Bonus 2: For spending over $500 get a wash kit
Bonus 3: SHipping on $7 for all ....

Not sure if the deal is still going on but it sure fift the bill. I do not do a lot of cars, but for $300 more, I got (IMHO) a better extractor and if I factor in the added stuff ..... not too much more.

    Just myh .02 worth.
