    Thanks to all DC members!

Now that the rain has finally stopped, I had a chance to pull out my PC and really go to work on my 2002 Galactic Blue Jetta, which is a very tough color. I did the hood and sides above the trim line and I was amazed at how the wealth of information I gathered from reading the posts here has enabled me to do a job which far exceeds what I was able to do prior to joining this forum. The proper tools, techniques and products make a big difference and you need a lot of knowledge to do it right. I used to think I knew what different products did and in what order to use them, but now I know that I was a novice and I never was able to get the results I can get now. Thanks to you all and keep it up - I still have lots to learn.

Thank you Poorboy- BTW, EX was one of the products I used today and the results just blew me away. I used Griot`s #3 machine polish with their orange pad, followed by 3M SMR for dark cars applied with a Megs polishing pad followed by a hand application of EX. Best results i`ve ever had. Just wanted to dive into that dark blue pool.

Wait till you put some more EX over that, or maybe some P21S paste, and just when you thought it couldnt get any better...

I was kinda thinking of layering some Griot`s Best of Show over the EX. I have to use that $20 bottle of wax sooner or later. I bought it right before joining this Forum and I have been using UPP and EX since then, so I have this expensive bottle of Griots sitting around. I`m sure it`s decent stuff. BTW - I`m not knocking them. I love their car wash and the machine polish #3 works really well too.

Griots is good stuff, its just expensive. However, I would personally rather have an arsenel of 3M, Megs, P21S, Poorboy`s, Platinum, and Eimann Fabrik.

Like Edschwab said....we need pics! Always love seeing shiny cars and that blue sounds like a gorgeous color.

Congrats on the job, it is extremely satisfying isn`t it?
