Foam Pads

What are you guys using for hand foam pads. I have about 20 all all kinds some are cheaper than others.

I like the thicker ones that after you start to use it that the product does not come threw to the other side. For me this makes holding on to them hard as hell.

What`s the best brand?

I`m confused now too..do you like the thick ones that don`t let the product to come through and find those easy to handle or are the ones that have product come through the ones that are hard to hold????

I like the ones that do not! have the product come threw. Once the pad is wet from product on both sides I find it hard to hold on to.

now my next question ...what are you using them for? light polishing or just wax/ sealant application?

I mainly use the foam pads for polish, glaze, wax, etc. I like the material ones for dressings and so forth

ok...i use mf sponge applicators for applying wax until I came accross these funky things call pvc sponges...it`s made out of the same stuff as Absorbers, but it`s about an inch or so thick and can lay down the thinnest layers. It stays in a plastic bag , damp and will never go bad...also when too much product starts getting absorbed into it, you can squeeze it and get the product back for use. I`ve even completely dried one out..hard as a brick, then soaked it in water and it went right back to this incredible soft sponge....yes it`s weird but it works great...

for polishes and dressings I use mf cloth and mitts respectively

Right now, I am using Viking pads with a handle like shape to the foam. They seem to work pretty well and definitely are easier to hang on to. One drawback is their larger size. They don`t fit well in a S100 jar, but work great for any liquid product.
I seem to drop at least one of the small yellow applicators every time I apply UPP. That hasn`t happened yet with the Viking pad. I purchased them at an Auto-Zone in my area.

Where are these PVC sponges at or how can I go about getting some to try.

I just use the Megs yellow foam applicators for spots I can`t reach with the machine.

For polishes I use terry applicators by hand in the hard to reach spots. The little bit of bite provided by the terry helps hand applied polish dig in a little better. Sort of makes up for not using the machine in those hard to reach spots.

same. If you have had a few orders from dwayne. You have tons of these things just laying around. They come in handy. Great perk dwayne.
