    A Little Muscle Car

Here is a "71" Buick 455 Muscle car that I did yesterday. Its been goone threw all the way. New seats, rug kit, etc. The paint is single stage and was never leveled. Iam going to get it back in a few weeks to use my rotary buffer to level the paint and give it that glass look. It looks good in the pics, but if you get close you can see it looks a bit cloudy.

Has anyone ever leveled paint ant advice would be great and what products you used.

Oh and one last thing while I was doing his car he parked my jeep next to his lawn and the spriglers got water on the hood and front end that dried to nice hard water spots. I had to use compound to get them off.

Beemer, great job on the chrome!
Are the bumpers original or was the chrome re-done?

Bumpers I think are re-done, they where flawless. Most all the car has been re-done. Seat, rug kit, new white top with a glass window. All underside was addressed and mew undercoating, brakes you name it. I was not done for show just to be dependable and that it is.

Question I had if anyone can help

Has anyone ever leveled paint. This car was rea-painted orginal color. It looks great but the finish looks cloudy. Its like they might not have wet sanded of buffed it enough after the paint also there is no clear coat

Sweet ! I love Buicks. The 455 stage 1 was the fastest american production car in 1970. I am not sure about 71.

I have colorsanded and buffed many many many cars.

The absolutly best is a clear coat base coat but a single stage can be done ``````n if it isnt a metallic.

I would experament on a section down low some where on the buick. Buff it and see how it looks. A SINGLE STAGE METALLIC WILL LOOK BLOTCHY if buffed too much.
The second mouse gets the cheese!
