    Mothers carnuba wax over refelection?

    Hi

Yesterday I saw that my local store now carries mothers pre- wax cleaner (step 1) and Mothers carnauba wax (step 3) . I still have a bottle of Mothers Reflection polish and I was wondering if i can use it as step 2.

Will the carnauba wax work over the polisher?

    thanks

Go with the pre cleaner, than the Reflections wich has a polymer base, and is also a light cleaner, then Carnauba. Make sure the Carnauba doesnt have a cleaner in it.....Or youll be removing the Polymer protection.....
When it`s you car, every detail matters...........

Would adding the carnauba wax on top of reflections give me a better finish (more shine and durability) or is it just for added protection?

Along the same lines, if I clay the car before the whole process will I get a deeper shine?

BTW- keep ion mind that it is a black car.

    thanks

Claying will not make the finish deeper. It just removes environmental contaminates that cause long term damage and make the paint feel rough. Claying will make the wax bond better and last longer. It will make polishing and waxing a much easier process.

Funny you should ask this. I was just at the store to stock up on my cleaning stuff and I had a bottle of the reflections in my hand. I decided against it though. For a while when I did a full detail I would clay, cleaner wax, carnuba wax. I don`t really know if the cleaner wax really does anything for paint thats in good condition. I decided the next time I wax I`m going to clay, then use the Sealer/Glaze, then the carnuba wax. I`m going to do that on both my parents Acura RLs and my Acura Legend. I`ll let you know how it goes, because I`ve never used the Mother`s Sealer/Glaze before. I`ll probably be doing all 3 cars in the next 2-3 weeks.
