Got a shot at that Trans Am with Wolfgang again

This time I got some pictures in the sun. It arrived with swirls in it that I had to take out. I was going to top it with some carnauba but those swirls were just too annoying. He has a car show tomorrow and he wanted it looking good. I couldn`t send him there with swirls in it. So out came the DACP and away went the swirls. I put Wolfgang on it again so I can have another shot at topping it with carnauba another time. It is even more impressive in direct sunlight. I am really liking this stuff. It is easy on and easy off. Durability seems to be pretty good so far. I don`t have any complaints yet.

I like that color...nice and deep. Wish I had more than a 1.0 megapixel camera....
Sure, it`s shiny, but how smooth is it, and how does it look in direct sunlight?

It`s an awesome color. Every angle was incredible. I wish I had a car this color sometimes. For a 98 this car is in amazing shape. When he brought it to me a month ago it looked like it was brand new. Today it had more swirls than it had when I did it last time. This kind of leads me to believe that they could have been in the Wolfgang or something since nothing else had changed whith how he cared for it.

Here are some more pictures of it.

    Jngrbrdman,

Great job! Love that color too..................... but it`s only a color for someone who is willing to go after the swirls on a frequent basis!

Not all car shows are for modified cars. I`ve entered several car shows in the stock class where you are judged on things other than modifications. It could have been just a local club `show and shine` kind of thing or something.

What else could they judge you on?

Well, like I said... it could have just been a local club show without any awards or anything. And there are a lot of things they can judge you on other than visible mods. It could be based on stereo or engine customization or just cleanliness. Maybe its a concours show where anything that isn`t OEM is grounds for disqualification. Who knows? I`m just a detailier. :naughty

Some Corvette folks make a religion out of stock shows. Judging is based on original finishes and even down to proper fastener head marks. I believe some Camaro people do the same. That has to be close to the TA. Maybe they are into that also.

I`ve been to a few stock class camaro shows. You see it way more for the classic kind of shows where restoration is the thing you are looking for. There are a few where they have upgraded things on the car to parts that weren`t available that model year or something like that. Now if they would only judge on mullet size then I wouldn`t even have to wash my car to win. :naughty

Yes many shows have stock classes and the owners take pride in keeping their vehicles as close to delivery from the dealer as possible...they even put the original stickers on the windows....usually these classes are for older vehicles, but many Corvette clubs tend to show their vehicles whether they are 2 or 20 years old...all it really is about is pride in ownership.

Those are only 2 megapixel photos. I don`t have that great of a camera either. Its always done the job though. I may not be able to get the instant focus and zoom in all the way into my finger prints or something, but it does what I need it to do and I have no complaints.
