    Angry Buyer Beware!

Just wanted to relay a bad buying experience for your benefit.

I just ordered the wax test from guru reports online for $9.99, when I completed the credit card transaction, it added $41.57 in shipping.

I am trying to get them to cancel the order now but they don`t reply to emails and don`t answer their phones.

Holy highway robbery Batman! I thought that was an email delivered report? Even if it is a hard copy that they mail to you that is outrageous!

    From Guru Reports:

"There is a bug in the shipping software portion of our website.
Depending on what country you live in, the shipping charge will be
between $4.85 USD and $6.85 USD. We process all international orders
by hand, and are well aware of the bug - our developers are having a
hard time correcting the error because we get the shipping tables
direct from UPS, who don`t allow us to modify their software...it`s
sort of a mess to fix. :-)"

I`ll just have to wait and see what they actually charge me.
    Talk about sticker-shock!

Sounds like they are aware of the problem and do not intend to rip you.

"Depending on what country you live in, the shipping charge will be between $4.85 USD and $6.85 USD."

If all turns out well, you might want to consider deleting your original post so someone doesn`t get the idea it was done intentionally.

For sure, or at least re-titling it.

For now though, the thread serves as an explanation of what is going on if someone else sees the same outrageous shipping charge on their order.

    Good point.
Maybe the new title could be "Buyer be Aware"

I pity the trouble you had to go through. To make things easier on everybody, I have read the report and will tell you the findings.
    Best synthetic-Zaino Brothers
    Best Carnuba-P21S
The report deals with all the products you can find at a store or on-line for consumer use only. It does not relate to the professional lines at all for our purposes. Kinda like the do-it yourselfers guide.
The report does mention there will be a follow-up with more waxes. I still don`t think it will relate to what we(pro`s) use on a day to day basis.
It does not matter what kind of vehicles you have detailed, it only matters if the customers keep coming back.
