Default Happy Christmas

A very Happy and a Peaceful Christmas to all of you here at the Mothers Forum.

Be sure to place yourself in a position to see the faces of your children and grandchildren as they open their presents, because that's what Christmas is all about, families, and, after all, Christmas started with a family.

Luckily for me here in Australia, Santa gets here way earlier than for those of you in the U.S.

Here's an image of Santa readying his Australian Sleigh.

The car is a Ford Falcon Ute, so umm, I suppose apologies are in order for our friend at Admin. (nyuk nyuk nyuk)

Tony.

Rollin, on a personal note, Happy New year to you, and all who come to this forum.

I, um, must have missed you profile update. I note the second 05GTO, the black one. Has your daughter updated your old 99 GTP?

Also, I know that Pontiac has been (sadly) discontinued, so those rebadged Holdens would now be rare things in the U.S. We still have those HSV Holdens here in Oz, provided you have the inclination and the, umm, big dollars. The most commonly seen of those list of HSV's is the Maloo R8 at this link, as 'utes' are always popular here in Oz, not that this particular ute would get much use as a working ute. Incidentally, an earlier version of this Maloo R8 holds the speed recored for a 'truck' type vehicle, taking that record from the considerably larger Dodge Ram.

However, there is one thing I have noticed with the new 25th year Anniversary Model, and this may interest those readers who are aware of the Mothers project car, ProPane.

Here's the link to that new 25th Anniversary GTS, and if you scroll down to the Options list, you'll see that the option second from the top of the list is Liquid Propane Injection, a further innovation, and another step up from LPG conversions, and now available on all the HSV range.

Hey, remember once you could lift the bonnet and work on the engine yourself. Not any more.

Again Rollin, nice to hear from you. Happy New year.

Speaking of 'utes', the Santa image above features an older model Ford Falcon ute. Here's an image of the most recent Holden Maloo R8 from the HSV (Holden Special Vehicles) division of General Motors Holden.

Tony

Yes, I was able to add a second Goat to the herd. A friend's Father-In-Law bought an '05 just a few days after I did and since he has other "toys" only drove it occasionally. I bought it from him in 2009 when it only had 14,000 miles on it.

If Pontiac was still around, I would have bought a G8 in 2011. I'll probably take a look at the Chevrolet SS (Holden-made) when it comes out in '13.

Have a Happy New Year.
