Default Boat Maintance

Hello Everyone,

new to the forum, but I am a member of the Moomba forum. I have a 2007 Moomba LSV. All of the fiberglass is red. I am the 3rd owner of the boat, and I am noticing on the bow, where the lights are, the paint has turned white. I have put a bunch of wax on the boat, it disappears, but then comes back again. Was doing some research today to find out how to get rid of the white and bring the red back to it's former glory.

Correct me if I am wrong, but after the oxidization remover, I have to polish it correct? Then apply the wax on top of the polish.

Second question, I used the oxidization remover once already, but then just applied the wax. Do I just use the oxidization remover again, strip the wax, then use a polisher, then wax it again?

It just kills me to see the white on the top of the boat, where the sun hits it instead of the brilliant red that lies underneath.

thank you.

Richard

Welcome to Wax Forum!

Depending on what you use for an oxidation remove, but often just going straight to your cleaner wax would be fine.

Using any polish or oxidation remover again would require you to re-apply the wax (since those products would remove the wax).

Use Spray Wax often to quickly and easily maintain the shine and protection.

Oh, and it's not so much that you are applying the wax on top of the polish than it is the polish is preparing the surface for the wax.
