    Thinking about a rotary

    Hi everyone,
I have a PC already, and am thinking about buying a rotary. My question is this--a lot of you seem to like the Makita rotary, and some seem to like the DeWalt. I am a huge fan of Milwaukee tools. I own a lot of Milwaukee tools and have had great luck with them. What is your opionion on the Milwaukee rotary? I`m not ruling out any of the others, but maybe there are some pros and cons I should be thinking about.

Can`t comment on the Milwaukee but I HIGHLY encourage you to get a rotary I just got a Dewalt on Monday and can`t wait till I get in my piece of scrap metal to practice with. I`m sure it`s going to blow my socks off

I would love to have a rotary in my arsenol as well, but I am scared to get started. Is there any good way to get started without having somebody show you the ropes?

The Milwaukee rotary buffer is a great buffer.............. but it is a bit heavy like the DeWalt. Personally, I like the added weight, but some prefer a lighter buffer like the Makita.

So basically the Milwaukee is just as good as all the others and with no disadvantages that you can tell.

    0I812,
I use the Milwaukee. I have a Dewalt but use the Milwaukee almost always. I like it because it is shorter in length that the Dewalt and it has a really nice curved butt end on the handle. Great for easily holding the weight of the tool upright and menuevering back and forth. It also has a nice variable speed trigger along with the speed dial. ie, you can be on a high speed and release the trigger a bit to slow it down without having to mess with the speed dial. Also has a easy trigger lock to save those forearm muscles.
