    Leather Seat Question

One of my customers just came by the shop frantic that he spilled an ENTIRE bottle of cologne on his front passenger leather seat. He actually did not spill the cologne, he had the bottle on his seat and the heat from the sun burst the bottle. It sat on the seat for about 8 hours. Needless to say it pooled in the back crevice and made a horrendous stain and actually ate some of the leather while drying it. Any suggestions other than get another seat??

no.... sorry but it`s history...the alcohol in the cologne is the culpret...not that the scent would be overwehlming
if only one part ate through, then he can have that piece of leather replaced...if the bolsters and back are ok then a good leather repair shop should be able to match and repair....

I wonder if you could stain the seats a darker color?

I wonder if Leatherique products like Rejuvinator oil and Prestine Clean could help. They also make some leather repair products. Might be worth a shot before getting a new seat.

I have a local guy here that can re-paint the seat back to its orginal color. I would look for a leather guy in your area.
