Default Re: How to Choose the Proper Wheel Polish

I have what I'm pretty sure are clear coated wheels on my wife's 2012 Mini Cooper S and my 2016 Subaru WRX. I have been keeping them fairly clean and have no major issues with them.

Right now the wheels are off the cars as I'm using the winter wheels and rims. Since they are clear coated, I was planning on cleaning them and polishing them with the plastic polish which I use all the time on the headlights.

My question is, can I use my power cone with the regular plastic polish to get the job done, or do I need to use the power version of the plastic polish with the cone?

You'll be fine to use the Plastic Polish with your PowerCone - just remember to keep your drill at a lower speed.

For even more protection, after polishing them with the Plastic Polish, consider an application of wax.
