That`s a good point...on some other forums I visit, I see people bragging how good their 03 trucks look...well duh..it os a brand new truck why wouldn`t it be shiny...otherwise it should be returned to the mfg. I love to see old vehicles with original paint shine

Very good point USMC. Just about anyone could take a new `02 or `03 vehicle and make it look great with nothing more than whats available at Wally World.

I`m currently shopping for a mid-late 60s Galaxie coupe, Fairlane coupe or Torino GT. If I do find something it`ll be a while before its worthy of a pic here.

    Love that Buick GS!

Two of the cars you mentioned are in my local paper. The Galaxy and Fairlane both are mid 60`s and looks like they are restored. E-mail me and I will send you the link to the paper, I`m in Sonoma County CA

Thanks, email on the way. THe only thing is that I doubt I can afford one that has already been restored. Plus, I`m sorta looking to make it a project car to work on with my son over the next 5-10 years.

USMC, yeah I like the white interior. That, I must say was redone about 2 yrs ago. The original white was kinda ratty lookin.

Natty, everynow and then one of those late 60 Fords show up around he in the paper. If any comes along I will shoot you an email. There is a 68 Torino fastback running around town and its a driver, definetly needs paint, and I think he has a sale sign on it. If I see it I will see what he wants.

If I ever get my digital camera back from my brother-in-law, I will send in a pic of my sons 90 Sunbird. When I got the PC, I went all over that car and it looks better than my neighbors 2002 SSEi(paint that is)!!

This group has and is really helpful in bringing out the best in the vehicles. Now if we can only control the weather!!!!

    Take it easy

Ooh ooh ooh....please do! I had a `68 Torino GT (formal roof coupe, not fastback) with a 390 / 4spd and would love to own another one!

Damn, I wish I still had some of my old cars. That Torino I had was pretty neat. Only thing was no power steering and crappy brakes. It would go like a bat outta hell but you couldn`t turn or stop it .

    Thanks!
