Default Foam pad or Microfiber pad for applying wax?

Seems like it's harder to apply wax with the microfiber applicator. (looks like a sponge with microfiber wrap around). Which could lead to marring or swirls?

What do you guys think? And how many applicators do you use typically for a simple wax job on a car.

I prefer the foam applicators over microfiber applicators, I just use the mf ones on interior.

Foam for me. Cheap to buy and easy to find.

same here, foam for me. I find that I use less product with foam applicators and it makes it easier to apply waxes thinner and more even.
