Default 74 monte paint car

I have a 74 monte carlo and ask which wax is best for not stripping the paint. the car was painted with dupont paint. no wax has been applied since painting it two years ago.

Welcome to Wax Forum!

That's a real nice looking Monte Carlo!

No wax will strip paint, but you certainly may wish to avoid rubbing compounds if you have no need for correction; while ours are safe, don't create work when it's not needed.

I will suggest if the paint is relatively perfect, try our California Gold Synthetic Wax, available in liquid (at most auto retailers) or paste (online)

But if you do need compounding and/or polishing, our Professional line has two great products that are safe, and they are great prep steps for the Synthetic Wax.

Absolutely! Spray Wax is a great way to maintain the shine of any traditional wax job.

I use it on my daily driver after a wash, as I dry. Perform a sheeting rinse, mist, wipe and buff (use a separate towel for each task).
