    Favorite Claybar

Ive only used Meguiars and Mothers clay bar (this was back when all my car cleaning supplies came from AutoZone....what was I thinking) and I hated them both.

Now I have a blue fine grade Clay Magic bar and I love it.

What is your favorite clay bar?

Also, when should you use the red med grade clay bar...when you have something the blue fine grade wont tackle?

To date, my favorite clay bar is the Zaino clay bar. However, the Meguiar`s Detailer Series clay bar that I have looks pretty nice........... have to see how it works. I also have a couple of the new Meguiar`s Quik Clay kits. Those bars look OK.......... better than the one they use to have. Again, have to see how they work.

In the end, I think they are all pretty decent, and if used properly, should give good results.

Most clay comes from the same importer. The biggest differences are in bar size. I like to buy the big 200 gram bars and use a diluted car wash solution as the lube.

I use Claymagic. Cheap and available almost everywhere. I use S&W as lubricant.

I prefer the clay manufactured by Erazer. Mother`s and Poorboy`s clay are the two brands that I recommend most often. Clay Magic`s bars (I`ve only tried the blue one) also give good results, but they`re not quite as pliable as the Erazer bars. They only clay that I haven`t liked was the Meguiar`s consumer version that came in a small kit with a 4oz bottle of Quik Detailer. That Meg`s bar smeared quite a bit.

Yep, that`s the one they use to have........... wasn`t the greatest. The new Quik Clay they have is better.................. but not the best.

Of course, that`s just my opinion! (in case somebody stops by)

I`ve only used Mother`s, Clay Magic and Adam`s. Out of those I find Adam`s clay to be the best.
