The best answer to your question Beemerboy is to check the MSDS on your products. Also, if the product were toxic and readily absorbed through the skin, you will see a huge warning on the package telling you so. However, many products can irritate your skin.

I only use gloves for realy nasty interiors and trunks... I`m more worried about bio hazards than the chemicals... lol heres a trick though for your hands.. wash your hands with a good hand soap but don`t rinse just wipe it off.. it seals your poures and makes cleaning your hands easier after your done.. a tip one of my mechanic buddies told me...

    Gloves

Only when handling stronger chemicals... mostly wheel cleaners.

However, I am looking to find some gloves to protect my hands while working under seats !!!! There are some sharp seat rails out there !!!!!!!

Thanks for the feed back. I use gloves when working on the wheels if I`m using a acid based cleaner.

Other wize I find that the gloves make my hands sweat like crazy.
