Default Spray Wax Recommendations

I am using the UWS 3 step system, and I have been very happy with the results thus far. I would like to know if anyone has a preference on the the three different type of spray waxs that mothers offers (FX, Refelction, and California Gold). I had a leftover bottle of turtle wax spray that I used, but I was not happy with the shine. I have a black car, and I really want the paint to look like it is still wet . Ideas on better ways to shine it up?

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

I'm glad you posted this...i never even knew they had 3, i thought just 2. never saw Cali gold. I use FX and i like it a lot. But i can't tell you about it's relitive goodness compared to the others, so i will be watching this thread. I do love FX tho. It leaves a sort of shine that i can only describe as soft and deep looking. Not so much a sharp reflectiveness in the shine, but a soft deep glow that i really like.

I like the FX best too, great shine.

Also I'm lazy and it is as easy to use as instant detailer.

Everyone likes different things, you may want to try all of them , they are all good and decide what works best on your car.

HA! love the idea of getting all three. my, wife may not. she still isn't sure why i wash my car each weekend and wax once every month or two. i should be spending time with her......

Anyway, i will try the FX first and go from there.

If anyone else wants to throw out some preferences, please do. thanks guys.

I have used FX and both versions of the Reflections (old / new). The FX is a thinner consistency product and leaves a nice crisp look.

When I originally started out, I used the Reflections Spray Wax, in the version prior to the latest one.
From there I moved to the FX Spray Wax.
Now I have the California Gold Spray Wax.
All have been used on the same car.

As to the relative 'goodness' of one over the other, that is in the eyes of the user, and the impression of what you see.
If asked, I might offer that on our car's Polar Blue (dark) opal flecked finish, all three have a similar 'look' that my eyes would find difficult to differentiate.

My love of the product, as a Spray Wax per se, is in the function. It's ease of use, and speed of that use, as a top up product, and also as a shine 'booster' between regular product applications.

If pressed for an opinion for a black car, I might suggest the FX Spray Wax.

What you do see as the finished result would be more dependent upon the work you have put in at the front end, rather than from the Spray Wax itself.

Tony.
