Default Recommendations for 2010 Range Rover Sport

Hello,
I just purchased my first new car, a 2010 Range Rover sport in Rimini Red. What do you recommend to take care of it?

In addition to a nice high gloss finish, I would like to avoid spider webs and want to keep the interior and black trim looking good over time. I have the full leather interior so any thoughts on protecting that would be appreciated as well.

I appreciate your time,

Congratulations on your new Range Rover!

You'll want to simply use the essentials of car care -- keep it clean, protected, and wash it frequently.

For starters, wash thoroughly, including the wheels and lower body panels, wheels and so on.

Dress the trim with Protectant, clay the paint, and wax -- I'd probably give our FX SynWax a try with the PowerBall 4Paint.

Use the manufacturer recommendations for interior vinyl (some dashboard surfaces are unique). Generally our Leather Conditioner or Reflections Leather Care will work to lightly clean and protect interior -- the Reflections Leather Care is good for both finished leathers and vinyls.

See our "Two Bucket Wash" sticky on safe washing practices.

Good luck!

Nice ride. I'd suggest:

Washing with a quality car wash
Claying to remove embedded contaminants
Reflections Car Wax, optionally followed by Reflections Top Coat

Maintain by washing using the 2 bucket method then using Reflections Spray Wax. Wash with a quality mitt (I prefer the real sheepskin) and dry with good microfibers like our waffle weave foam core drying towel. Apply the wax with a foam or microfiber applicator.

Careful technique will keep it spiderweb-free.

As for the exterior trim, our Protectant would be a good choice. Remember to wipe the excess off with a clean dry towel.

For the interior, our Reflections Leather Care is a great one step product. Regular use of it will keep the interior leather clean, soft, and supple.

Given your location, a quality car cover used when the vehicle sits outside will help protect the leather interior and exterior paint.

Off to New Jersey for the weekend.

I would like to recommend Reflections wax as a minimum.

It works well on any color. With follow ups with Reflections Spray Wax, you can extend the look, durability, beading, and slickness for a long time. The spray wax is not much effort over a detailer but the results are much longer lasting.

Enjoy. As said before, good wash techniques is essentially to maintaining that new vehicle look.
