SO what kind of tools make your life easier?

I was wondering what kind of tools most of you use, on a professional basis.

For tools here is what I have:
a Sioux Polisher, 15 years old and still runs like a top. It is really heavy though
A 7424. Just added it, and am really pleased with it. A lot lighter, especially when I am doing somethign large like my wife`s excursion, or my Crew cab superduty.
A 3 hp Craftsmen vacuum. Small, light and very portable with a strap to carry it if needed. I get the $70 portable version, and have worn out 5 of them.
A hot water pressure washer, 3000 PSI and 5 GPM. (actually 3, on trailers) A little bit of overkill for cars, but it allows me to do a ton of other things. I got ADD, I have to stay interested in the job.
DI bottles, with our really hard water, it helps a ton in doing windows, and drying cars, when needed.
If I am doing a bunch of details, or am feeling lazy, I rent a Thermax carpet cleaner. That way I take it back at the end of the day, and I don`t have to clean the house carpet, unless I want to. It only costs me $15 a day to rent it, and since detailing is not my primary source of income, to detail, I find this more cost effective to rent three or four times a month.

    So what do you got?

Tools I use on a regular basis:
    *PC 7424
*Small crevice tool I made for cleaning crevices on windshield and around third brake light
    *Q-Tips (AC vents)
*Toothpicks (gas and brake pedal crevices)
    *MF cloths
*Bandaids (for when I slice my fingers while cleaning the hood jambs)
*Doo Rag (for keeping the sweat out of my eyes + the doo rag look is part of my image LOL)

I thought I was probably the only one to sport one of these. Been wearing one for years, doing the vehicles, the lawn, and just plain hot days.

I`m also in the market for one of those rolling stools Clean Dean mentioned. With each passing year it gets harder and harder getting up off the ground. I use a stool now, but it doesn`t roll.

The above are "necessities", my favorite tools are microfiber towels, and lots of them. One of the best "finds" in a while.

    Rolling Stool

    Mr. Clean,

I have a stool with casters on it that has been a LIFE SAVER!!! You can get one at Wally World (Walmart) for a pretty reasonable price.

    Recommend one fully!

Amen to the stool. I found a folding stool w/wheels at Harbor Freight for $13 and free shipping with a $50 order. (I think itwas $13) Not adjustable height. The adjustable height ones are $19 or $25, depending on where and when you find them. Harbor frieght sometimes has them for $19, Wal Mart is $25 I think.

    Love them stools!!
Dream big and be willing to do the work to get there.

Well, it just so happened after reading this kudos for the stool I saw a Harbour Freight add for their rolling, height adjustable stool, with utility tray on sale for $16.97 (regular price $24.95). I picked mine up today. Can I join the club?
