    Old Poorboys Products

I just received a shipment of PB from Specialty Motoring (I used them because they have clearkote and because they are the only place with the trim restorer in stock). The thing is, the QD+ had one of the older paper labels and the spray and wipe isn`t blue, which I know the newest version is. Is there a big difference between what I received and the current version of the products? Shouldn`t everyone ship the newest products?

umm I guess any company would try to get rid of their old stock first right ....but do try them out and see if they are still working as they should.....oh yeah, I`m waiting for a shipment from them as well, guess we are in the same boat huh:badabum

The differences between the old QD+ and the newer version is minor. The newer stuff is easier to spray basicallly. There are some minor appearance differences as well. I`ve heard that several people like the old formula better.

The newer version of S&W is only a color difference, no performance difference at all.

:yeah I still prefer the original version of QD+ , the only problem with it was it didn`t work well through OUR sprayers, but I found that using the .50 fine mist sprayers from Walmart solved that problem. I have also started putting those sprayers into my packaging with the new QD+ too as they seem to give a more direct spray. I still have both versions and normally ship the new version, but i still get requests for the original . When we make our next purchase of Sprayer we will probably get two versions, one for general spraying and one for fine mist.

Is the new QD+ basically a diluted version so it can be sprayed easier?

    Steve,

Wasnt the original version of QD+ made as a enhancement for EX to replenish the carnuba in it and that you sprayed it on, wipe to a even coverage, let dry to haze and then removed as in a quick wax formula and the new version is a more traditional spray on wipe off method with no wait :dunno

yes and no :lol both will replenish the wax and enhance EX.

both can be left to dry like a wax, the new version can be on & off where the old needed to dry.

the new one is just a bit more user friendly and does not clean as well as the old version if you were to use it as a spray wax.

I still have some of the old QD+ formula. I mix it 3 parts S&W to 1 part QD+ to make it easier to spray.
