I use just a bucket for suds and then rinse with a hose. Not sure what the rinse bucket is for? If you are try to keep your mit clean just make sure to dip in the suds often. It seems like it would be more efficent...

I use just one bucket making sure i dip and shake out my mit often. It works well for me. but if you are more comfortable with two bucket there is no harm in it.

I use 2 buckets. It helps me from introducing new swirls.
The 2 bucket method is far superior. Its a simple test, try it yourself.
Keeps the soapy water clean. Look at the color of the rinse water!

Two bucket is the safer method.
Dream big and be willing to do the work to get there.
I use the 2 bucket method. The 1st time I read about it I thought it was crazy. Well I tried it and I couldn`t believe how much dirt was in the 2nd bucket. The 2 bucket system is the way to go for me.
"I`m staying out of it."
I tried it for the first time over the past weekend, (even bought 2 new buckets just for the occassion) and it does make a difference...IMO. I discovered that the 2nd bucket (Rinse Water) really does release comtaminants from the mitt (I use a wool mitt). Dust dip the mitt into the rinse water and agitate the mitt to release the dirt trapped in the mitt. It takes a couple extra seconds to do, but isn`t your car and your clients worth the extra couple of minutes? It will help keep the finish protected longer and not introduce addition micro-swirls into your work surface.
The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low price.
