Burnout removal

I do a few muscle cars that have some serious burnout residue on the lower panels.

I have been trying to use Turtle Wax Bug & Tar remover, but this is just not getting rid of all of it.

Any ideas?

Some ideas to try:

1. Clay bar
2. Plastic Putty knife or Plastic Razor blades
3. Adhesive remover
4. Pressure washer
5. Full Strength APC
6. Rubbing Compound

He probably has used Kerosene, depending on the bug and tar remover he used. Many bug and tar removers are kerosene based. Maybe straight kerosene may work.

One more thing try is a citrus based cleaner. Premium Sells P21s

Dwayne will soon have my Professional Polish...I`ve used it at many a race track with a terry towel for safe and quick removal...
the Ferrari vintage race team had used a lot of stuff including the Stoner`s stuff and they were blown away...

Yes, the bottom panel of my car is an absolute mess. The whole vehicle seriously needs to be repainted, but I cannot afford to drop down the $2000-4000 to do it right.

One of the other members on this forum races a Mustang and gets lots of buildup on the lower panels, especially right behind the rear wheels and under the back panel. He just detailed yesterday (pictures Jim?) and callled me and had GREAT success with kerosene. I wonder if it would have been easier with poorboys? It was very caked on, would the Professional Polish work on serious caked on rubber?

Tassadar, when you return the car,or when they come to pick up when you are done detailing, suggest to the owners that before they do a burnout at the track(or wherever) that they should spray some Pledge (furniture polish)on their rear quarters. It works for me--it makes removal a lot easier and doesnt harm the paint finish. The rubber doesnt really adhere to the pledge and will wipe off easily with some tar remover without really rubbing.
