Quick Q: Wash between chemicals?

Was just wondering if it`s advisable to wash a car between the use of different chemicals... ie, between compounding and sealing/glazing or between sealing/glazing and waxing?

I would think washing would be the only sure-fire way of ensuring all the chemical is removed... but then again, might remove some of the work you just did?

Any input on this one?

If I compound with a rotary and have a mess that cannot be removed easily with a MF then I will wash before polishing or the next step.
If I am sealing or glazing, I always just remove the product with a MF and proceed to the next step.
I don`t like washing because I believe you do remove some of the oils or polymers from the previous step and you then have water drips to contend with.
If I need a little something extra to make sure everything is clean while I am in the prepping process I use a spray of Meguiars, Final Inspection.
